This was a Concord, Ca. flea market find this morning $3. and worth so much more! :^) the vase is almost a stoneware look with a great glaze combo on it. blues, greens, with a white overcoat, that creates a volcanic look surface. its 6" tall 4" wide and 1 3/4" opening at the top, the bottom is marked Trubel? that was scratched into green clay on a black glazed brush stroke with 68 after it. it was made by the same artist that did another black matte vase that I bought from another seller 3 months ago at the flea market. sorry about the base picture I'll try to get a clearer shot, of the mark. OK this bottom mark picture is the best I can get, hope it's better!
Thanks to ho2cultcha, he solved the mystery!

i finally figured out the artist! Marni Turkel of Stony Point Ceramic Design in Santa Rosa, CA.
can you get a clearer shot of the signature. it's VERY blurry.
sorry about that ho2cultcha, I think I might have taken the camera off micro. I'll try to get a better shot tomorrow.
I tried rubbing a little cornstarch into the bottom mark, but it didn't help in being able to read. What did is the little bit of water I brushed over it to remove the cornstarch. I also noticed the apostrophe before the '68, which normally is for a year, instead of a form number.
i'm certain that the number is a year date - same for all three of our pots.
Marni Turkel - mystery solved!
Thanks ho2cultcha! :^)
