This beautiful Danish art pottery bowl was a filthy mess, but I could see it was well worth the $2. price the seller wanted at the Concord Flea today! the oxblood glaze just popped when I cleaned it with a little oxy-clean and water after I got home with it. WOW! ! ! the bowl is 6 1/4" wide 2" high, has a 5 1/2" opening, and a 2 1/2" base. it has a glossy brown exterior, that's the same color as the pottery, and that oxblood interior, that does it for me! :^) the mark on the bottom that's impressed says Di or D' tiev? (in the round) over Danmark like I've spelled it. not Denmark, sooo... not sure. any ideas? thoughts?
**Thanks to vetraio50, I now know that this bowl was made by DITLEV Henrik Larsen, probably in the 1960s or early 70s. A rare find for sure
DITLEV Henrik Larsen, I think.
"Ditlev Keramik was founded by Ditlev Henrik Larsen who ran his pottery from 1956. People just called him Ditlev.
His pieces were sold in the important designers cooperativ and store in Copenhagen called DEN PERMANTE. Many acknowledged designers pieces were exhibited and put for sale here. Have a look at this article:

Before or beside having his own studio Ditlev worked as thrower number one at the pottery of Lars Syberg, a quite known Danish pottery studio in the 40s and 50s. At the same time also the famous Bjørn Wiinblad worked there and was allowed to use the pottery in his spare time to make his own pieces. Ditlev throwed bowls, plates and figurines in nighttime for Bjørn Wiinblad which Wiinblad afterwards decorated. And these pieces from the 40s were the start of Wiinblads fame as ceramic artist. When Wiinblad took over Nymølle Fajancefabrik - this must have been around 1970 / mid 70s - Ditlev joined him.
That Ditlev was an excellent thrower is absolutely visible in all pieces from his own studio.
He´s got a great sense of shaping as well."
