Introduced in 1938 and made until at least 1975, the Ace Scout Model 202 stapler was well-designed, practical, and tough as nails. There were two basic versions. The first version had a concave backplate was made from 1938 until about 1940. The second version, shown in the picture, had a convex backplate and was made from both steel and aluminum. It was introduced about 1940 and sold through the 1970's.
