Here's a very nice Roycroft Hammered Copper (Flying Saucer) Bowl or Centerpiece Bowl.
I found this at the Concord, Ca. Flea Market in 2013? and paid just $3. for it. The woman seller was taking boxes of stuff out of her van, and I saw it stuffed in a large cardboard box, and I asked if I could see it, and what she wanted for it? She said sure, $3.? ahhh! ! ! I choked back. it was dirty, dented, but I could see it was copper, worth $3. at least(another buyer was checking it out as she brought it forward)...OK I said, but thinking this might be something nice, if I could clean it up, I dug out 3 $ bills(I try to have smaller bills, because it's hard to talk prices, if you have to ask to break a 20 or more), and handed them to her, then put the copper bowl in my leather satchel, and moved aside, to check it closer, I saw the small makers mark on the bottom, at the time not sure what I was seeing, but at least a mark, that I could check later, at home.
I found the mark with a google image search for hammered copper bowl, now another for Roycroft hammered copper bowl, WOW these are worth a lot, a further search found the bowl I had...maybe I could sell it on Ebay if I can clean it, and get the dents out. With some careful work on the dents, and gentle cleaning, not to hurt the patina, I felt it was good enough to try to sell. I tried twice, the first time, I guess I listed wrong, and nobody even saw it, I could hardly find it! lol The next week auction started with a $20. bid the first day, then nothing for 5 days, then a $50. bid on the 6th day, on closing day the last 2mins. $101. then another, and another, the last 20secs. 3 more bids, then 2 at the end, over $300. oh no!!! I sold my ROYCROFT COPPER BOWL, I'LL NEVER SEE ONE AGAIN!!! but over $300., it only cost me $3. I SOLD IT TOO CHEAP!!! no it was exciting, and I sold it for over $300.

OH!! NO!! I SOLD IT TOO CHEAP!!! :^)
