Hi I was wondering if anyone could tell me anything about this large oriental jar. I believe it may be a chinese ginger jar but am not sure. I also believe it is older, but again not certain.
It is just over 1ft tall.
    Thanks

You can check gotheborg.com, a great resource for Chinese & Japanese pottery
Here’s the link to his home page, you can click on the marks category on the left

i don,t know i can only guess here

they stripped a quianlong mark , and they stripped it in the non mainland way

i think the main question is are we committed to brassica chinensis , bok choy design , then it is a lidded cabbage pot

mark is stamped i am guessing something like 60 tees

it looks so art deco. maybe earlier?

when it was much earlier the corrosion would create some sort of bourgondy colour
and the glazing on the bottom is complete smooth that is spurious
and the mark is stamped in a rather disrespectful static , IMO it can,t be much earlier
