When I first joined CW, Warren posted his purple empire vase. My comment at the time was, "I WANT ONE"! I finally found one and couldn't be happier! When it arrived, I was surprised as I found it much bigger than expected. It's only 3 1/2" tall, but the width - 8" - gives it a much larger appearance. As you can see, it's highly reflective and was very difficult to photograph, but at least you get the idea. Thank you guys for looking and your continued support!
wow unique
looks like a ufo only nicer
Thank you for the great comments and love Flea and Gary, and thanks for the love Melanie, you guys know it's appreciated!
@ Flea... Yes it has an unusual shape which I love! It matches a Charles Lotton piece I have with a similar "UFO" shape. :)
@Gary... Yes, at times I marvel at the talent it takes to make these beautiful pieces of art glass .
Lol... Thanks Thomas, I appreciate you stopping by!
Out done youself on this one Rick what a beautiful piece.

Wow! This is a gorgeous piece, and your pics are a total success!!!
One of my favorite colors! I must admit that I am not a fan of Loetz glass - except for this piece. So unusual!
A lovely décor, and shown to perfection by ace photography!
OMG!! YAY RICK!!!
I remember salivating over Warren's too. Rick I'm so happy you have such an exquisite treasure for yourself now.
Wow Rick!!!
That is incredible looking. Glad you were able to add this lovely piece to your already AMAZING collection. Beautiful!!!

Takes up a decent amount of cabinet space...and it rightfully deserves it! :)
Wonderful example!
How do you get the two tone background? Is it the way you set your lighting or the "background paper" you use?
Thank you for the nice comment Cnd, and thank you for the love L.B. and Deb, I'm so glad you guys like it!
@Cnd... In this case I used a gradient background. When I want more contrast between the light and dark, I place a piece of cardboard on the overhead light preventing it from shining on the background.
Thank you for the love Austro, I appreciate it!
Great piece and great decor - I think one of my favs as well. I found mine when I was first collecting an didn't know what it was except that it was going home with me.
Great color and I love the texture. Or is that a trick of the light? Well done either way.! :)
Thanks so much for the kind comment and love Tonja and Matt, and thanks for the love Fort, GlueChip, Ivonne and Radegunder, I do appreciate it!
@Mac... that's funny, the same happened to me. I bought my first Medici not knowing what it was, but I fell in love with it and had to have it. Lol.
@Tonja... Nope that's the texture of it. I don't think anybody could put pleats on a vase... at least not me. LOL.
Glad to see you found one, Rick..
Worth the wait, I would say
fabulous!!
Thanks for the comments and love Warren and Sean, and thanks for the love Bobbee, it's all appreciated!
@Warren... It was definitely worth the wait. I've seen others, but I wanted one as close to your purple one as possible :-)
