The first is a very colorful example of the Rindskopf pulled feather décor on tan base glass. The vase stands 10 inches in height and is about 4 inches in diameter at the widest. The smaller is about 5 incjes in height and 3 inches in diameter, and the feathers are a bit more sedate. The tops are cut and there is no pontil mark on the base. Colorful feathers are pulled through the base glass of a tan or beige color. There is a metallic oxide surface iridescence. Rindskopf produced pulled feather vases with an astonishing variety of different colors of base glass and feathers, including transparent cobalt blue, opaque light blue, opaque orange, yellow, pink, teal green, and more. Tan/beige was just one of the many variations that were produced. These date to pre WWI.
