A couple of years back I posted a Blackamoor musician figurine which I had been searching for ever since a pair sold at auction in 2009. These never come on the market, and I was overjoyed to own one. Earlier this year I was able to purchase a second one. They were manufactured by Seguso Vetri d'Arte circa 1938. As opposed to the other, which is made of clear and red pasta glass, this one has opalescent glass, with transparent pink glass and bullicante throughout. It's a nice size measuring 11.5" tall and is part of a series of street musicians which are illustrated in "Art Glass from Murano 1910-1970", Heiremans, pg. 155. As always, thanks for looking!
Here's the link to my first one in addition to a beautiful example in Heirman's book.

They are a joy to behold, Rick. The detail of both is exquisite, and particularly in image four with two to compare!
Thanks so much for the wonderful comments and love Peggy, Scott, Bonnie and Thomas, and thanks for the love Tassie, Pops, Mike, Fort, Karen , Mac and Ivonne, I appreciate all you guys!
@Thomas... You are so right, I've never noticed that... The horn player... a classic New Orleans street musician depiction!
@Scott... I'm hoping to someday complete the set... I believe there are either 5 or 6, so at the rate I'm going, I'll finish it by the time I'm 90! LOL
@Peggy... Thanks, I think they look good together too! I'd love to see the whole band reunited for a farewell tour! LOL :-)
Both are incredible, Rick. I hope you can complete the set before you're 90 -- I'll be 120 by then!!! [;>)))
LOL Nevada... If you make it and I make it, we'll meet for tea at the old folks home lol :-)
