Loetz Blue Opal Medici (PG 2/484) Vase. 7" Tall. Circa 1902

Another addition to my Loetz collection...this Blue Opal "Medici" Vase. This decor is also known as Phänomen Genre 2/484. Blue opal ground with combed fused large silver-yellow crushed glass giving an intense petrol luster.

Baluster form with 4 thumbprint indentations around base. 7" tall. 3.25" across base. 3.5" across widest width. Fire polished rim with ground and polished pontil. PN unknown. Circa 1902.

This is my second piece of Blue Opal Medici. I couldn't pass up because of the size and shape. Perhaps I'll trade someone my other Blue Opal for a Red/Pink one.
