Hello fellow collectors!!
Here is one of several Civil War era photo albums that I own. This is the smallest of all that I own. It's only 5 1/4" long, 4" wide and 2" thick. It's still in very remarkable condition, even the binding is still fairly tight.
I love the small picture of the little boy and his dog on the front and the embossed deign in the edges of the pages. Nothing plain looking about this one.
It's filled with tintype photos and I'll be posting some of those in my coming posts.

Mmmmmm BOY! What unbelieveable condition. I used to restore vintage plush covered Victorian albums. Yours pre-dates those. But in going in and out of shops picking up albums I HAVE NEVER SEEN ONE IN THIS FINE SHAPE!!!!! These leather albums I never attempted to restore , I felt it was impossible unless someone wanted a fabric cover. I did not work with vintage stamped or tooled leather. You have THE prize of prizes
