This is a Japanese painted wood carving bought in a reputable antique store in Fleming County Kentucky.
I fell in love with her! She is a serene girl embracing her rabbit.
Description: a young girl, sitting with legs crossed, holding a rabbit.
There are no artist identifying markings.
The wood is a dark ?mahogany? type.
I'm unsure if area are painted or stained.
It is 8" tall; 4.5" depth; & 15" circumference around the widest, bottom part.
    It weighs: 1lb, 7.8 ounces.
If anyone has any information about this piece I would greatly appreciate hearing from you!
