    katherines…
    (247 items)

So this little brooch's decor has a familiar look, but what? It's like a piece of a puzzle, I turn it this way and that, but can't figure it out. Anybody have any ideas? Thanks for looking.

ETA: Bonnie suggested the brooch image might be upside down, I tried to flip them over but CW keeps flipping them back, lol.

MYSTERY SOLVED: As I suspected, this is a copy of a Pierre Bex brooch. Pierre Bex made reproductions of Art Deco brooches in the 60s and 70s. He may have sold the molds when the company closed down, as the two Bex brooch copies I own are near exact copies, the differences being in the backs, the clasps, and most Bex brooches are studded with rhinestones. I have added two photos of the other Bex copy I own. kyratango was the one who introduced me to Bex when I posted that first brooch, when I saw this brooch, I was almost certain it was a Bex copy, finally had the time to track down the original. There's no information in the posting related to the design, and I saw several others that are sort of abstract like this one so could be nothing, or could be something but still don't know what. Anyway, pretty brooches. :)

I think the photos are upside down. Reminds me of sun rays.

As I suspected, a copy of a Pierre Bex, which are copies in themselves, or reproductions, of Art Deco brooches. This is my second Pierre Bex copy, the other being a bird brooch:
