16th/17th century chest ?

Hi

Im trying to identify this oak chest (what age and country of origin). It is a six plank chest, hand saw marks (including the dove tail joints) and hand made nails.

I bought it in Brussels. My feeling is that it is French or possibly Spanish.
I feel the bottom runner is too ornate for an English chest - but Im no expert.

Any advice would be appreciated.
