For my Fire Buff friends. Our hotel in Washington was next door to a fire house. The two large doors on the right housed modern and very busy vehicles (3-4 calls per night). While walking by one evening I looked in and saw that hiding behind the left door was a magnificent old steam pumper wagon. The staff welcomed me in and told me that there was also a large fire museum upstairs. Unfortunately I was not there when the museum was open but I did get some photos of the pumper which was used from 1902-1935 and still looked like it was in working condition.
