Here's a nice Scissor and Letter opener Desk Set Flea Market Find

I got this on the same day that I got yesterdays ink well and postage stamp holder, posts, over a year ago. It's a nice set and works with the other pieces, even though it's more brass than bronze, looking.
The set together is 9 1/4" long, 2 3/8" at the scissor handles, and 1 1/8" at the widest on the bottom of the case. The scissors are marked GERMANY on one side at the top of the blade, and JULIUS HAMMESFAHR SOLINGEN in three lines on the other side, at the top of the blade. The scissors are 7 3/4" long, and blades are 4 3/8" tip to handle. The letter opener is 8" long, and the blade is 4 3/8" tip to handle.
I haven't searched this set lately, and don't know the date of manufacture, but it's a nice old piece for a vintage desk set.
