Looks like it could be Dutch. Lots of names and titles. Hope someone with better eyes will help out.

I think it is Dutch too.
Have found nothing like it on the net.
    3. martinla56 martinla56, 11 years ago
      Any idea what year?
    4. vetraio50 vetraio50, 11 years ago
No, I have tried various parts of the text, copying and googling.
      No results.
      None.
      Very unusual.
The etching is also different to anything on the net.

Is this the only page you have?

      A possibility is
DE CLERCK, N., Henricus VIII D.G. Angliae Franciae Et Hiberniae Rex., Amsterdam, Cloppenburch, 1621, 7.1 x 4.7 inches /18 x 12 cm, Copperplate engraving on text leaf with letterpress.

      Size of paper : 31x 19cm.

The engraving depicts a half length oval portrait of Henry VIII.
Nicolaes de Clerck (de Klerc) was active as engraver and publisher in Delft from 1599-1621.

Included in the rare book : Wereld Spiegel, waer in vertoontword de Beschryvinge der Rijken Staten, ende vorstendommen des gantsen Aerdbodems... which was a Dutch translation of "Les estats, empires et principautez de monde" by Pierre Davity.

This is the only page I have hate to think it was taken out of such a rare book. So this might be a copy from a 17th century book? Thanks

I went to achrive.org and look at the book by Wereld Spiegle and it looks to have the same king of lettering and etchings. Thanks so much!

There is a guy in Germany selling individual pages on the internet. This happens with older books in bad condition. Your page may have come from a badly damaged copy.
