I decided to burn some carbon off the spark plugs and take a ride north to Heythusen, about 35 minutes from me. I had never been to any markets there and wanted to see if I was missing anything. Apparently, not....there was LOADS of stuff there, but not the stuff I wanted. The jewelry was basically trash/bijou/junk. Any good stuff was too expensive. A stall holder who apparently has delusions of grandeur asked 100 bucks for an 18K gold/stainless steel Nomination Italy brand ring. ~!!!!!!!!~ . I have the very same ring at home - bought for a buck....
Tons of clothes, shoes, kids stuff, *antiques* and more.
I'll stick closer to home - the pickings are much, much better!

    Thanks for coming along.
    Bonnie

Well Efesgirl, it looks like it was a beautiful day anyway! :^) I'm still wearing short sleeve shirt, and short pants, when I go to my flea market at 6am, but a chance of rain scared everyone off today, and very few yesterday, so waiting for a better weekend, next! We could use the rain more than I could use more treasures though! :^D

Judy - yes, it is disappointing when people only bring their best trashy jewelry to sell. There was plenty of it still unsold by afternoon, too. Nobody wants that junk. Now that I know what kind of stuff sells there, I don't have to schlep up there again.

Looks like a marketing opportunity for you Bonnie.
Take your stuff (much better quality), undercut the others, and hey presto! Sold out.
If you are disappointed with the current offerings I'm sure many others are too.
      They're waiting for yoooouuuu.............
