Howlin' Wolf, 1966, Avalon Ballroom

Howlin' Wolf never made it to this show at San Francisco's Avalon Ballroom in 1966, but this poster by Stanley Mouse and Alton Kelley is considered a classic of the era. Dimensions are around 14 by 20 inches, and it is definitely a first printing. Big Brother and the Holding Company were also on the bill—three months earlier, a new singer named Janis Joplin had joined the band.
