Here's a nice example of the Rindskopf Pepita "Hyacinth" vase. It stands fully 13.5" tall and is about 4" diameter at the base. The rim is crimped in the form of a flower bud opening. Red glass is pulled through a clear glass with green applied oil spots, giving the impression of the stem of the plant blooming into the flower. The colorful metallic surface iridescence adds to the effect. c. 1900 +/- 10 years.
Thanks Nordicman & Aura!

Gorgeous, Bob! And a big one, too! I don't have one in this shape - it is on my list!! :)
Michelle, I've never seen small versions of this style before - that would probably be a rarity :-)
Well, I've seen these down to about 10.25", and yours is just about as big as they come - a very impressive piece, and the coloration on it is terrific!
I will definitely have to be on the lookout for one in the smaller size! Thanks Michelle!
Thank you for the nice thoughts Poire!
Too many piece to love! You have such a wonderful collection:)
Thank you for saying so freiheit - I have been collecting for nearly 50 years. When I was growing up in New Orleans, I would marvel at the antique stores on Rue Royal. I would save my allowance and occasionally buy something. I started with Roman coins. :-) Bob
