We bought this Enco sign from a Collector in Oklahoma and felt we needed it because Enco was the brand that was used by the Billings Refinery that produced Carter Gas in the 40s-50s until it was bought out by Humble Oil and they used the brand name of Enco. Finally the refinery was again bought out in the 60s by Exxon so it changed the gas brand again. We put this cool old sign up today. We got the pole in Rockford Il while on our way to Hershey for the swap meet last month. I just love getting new poles in the air on the string of poles we have at the Lakeside Storage Museum. We should have over 100 when we finally get done. The real fun remains in the hunt!

Thx for the love it. I can't believe that only 9 people love this nice sign that I got from the collector in the Tulsa area? Makes no sense to me?
Trsparks,
I had a dirty lense on my camera so the pix is murky but to only get 10 loves is hard to believe?
I love this sign, my dad owned an Enco station when I was a small kid, unfortunately he passed away when I was 7 years old and my mom had to sell
the station back to Humble Oil. I have searched all over for Enco items to display
in my shop in memory of my dad. Would love to have a sign like that. Thanks so much as it brings back many fond memories that mean a lot to me. Mike
Babyboomer,
Thx for the personal note. I think Chuck Dudley in Joplin might have one or know where one is. We wanted this becaus we have a bunch of Carter signs and when Humble bought Carter in the 50s they changed the Brand name to Enco. Now we need to find a big Humble to finish the series.
