My grandfather with a ballplayer

This photo is of my grandfather on the right taken sometime in the 1920s. He was a whitesox fan and I always wondered if the player may have been buck weaver or one of the other black Sox possibly playing on a barnstorming team after they were banned. His uniform says apaches. Any info. On this player or team would be helpful.
