I'm going to guess that this is late 19th or early 20th century - Japanese Imari. i could be far off though, so i appreciate any feedback. the piece is approximately 6 inches wide, by 2 inches tall. No chop. i guess it could be chinese too?
I think Japanese and 19th at least. Although I'm getting an older feeling from looking at the bottom. Possibly 18th. :)
Very nice.i think that the word imara comes from the port were it come from.dont no if true?
thanks mikel and Master. yes, this is edo - solid.
1853-1868.
i think ho2 is right a scalloped rim disk 6 cartouche
i must be missing something because This KINRANDE in combination with JANOME -KODAI bottom , be back
maybe yjis is a reference ----apanese Imari Porcelain Dish, Scalloped--- lily parker
on trocadero dated it 1920
now we got a different problem there are ruptures on the bottom, but what er the tiny spots SESAME SPOTS the so called GOMA and dust marks when ash falls fired in the kiln
we have to disregard the color of the reverse bottom garlands , probably the non descript blue by shaping
this might be early 20 century
