Flea market find as usual, I think I paid 1 EUR or similar price. The clasp is marked only with BREV., which stands for "Brevetto." This is the Italian term for license, and the stamp signifies that the particular design or piece has been licensed or patented. So my necklace is a designer piece from Italy.
Which is weird as the quality does not look to be very good to me. The beads are unusual, there is like a thin layer of plastic on glass beads. I have never seen anything like this before. Maybe to imitate jadeite? I would be thankful for more info on this, if you know, why are the beads like this.
Sorry for bad photos quality, I only noticed this after I took them. I can make new pics if needed.
I think possibly that the coating is peeling off the beads.
Thank you Efesgirl, and why are the beads coated?
Hey! Did you find what this necklace's stamp mean? I found the same stamp at a thrift store and don't know what this means.
