got this 1 today. I haven't been able to pin down a close year of manufacture... my guess, 1980 to 1990. perhaps 1 of you could help on that.

its not perfect, but certainly functions and is built that way.

the copperhead and hand made logos are still readable , even though my pics aren't. im not sure of the scales make up either. they look like pearl, but im not betting on that. a few ive read about tell of celluloid scales . ive seen pics of a few similar in color . be it in pearl or crack ice, as the case probably is on this knife.

my inexperience in collecting shows up with some items. sorry about that.. any one offering knowledge to this knife is more than welcome to share it, and it is appreciated. this 1 goes in my pocket !

Nice 1 whyatt, it looks like one that I would keep in my pocket too! :^)
I have no problem reading the makers marks, and logos, on my 60"HD at 1000 mag., clear as a bell! I love having my computer hooked up to it, lots of times I can take a picture, and look at an item and see things that I can't see with a jewelers loop! It's great!

      thanks bill. that's awesome !

a friend of mine says the scales are salt water pearls. im still not convinced....ive seen a few that appear quite a bit more yellow like this that are celluloid. most of them have rusted areas along the blades that are caused by the gasses emitted by celluloid. it could be pearl, but im skeptical .. although the fit is perfect and its not rusted.

and thanks guys. the love is appreciated ..

ron, if you view this 1. whats your take on it ? your opinion is very appreciated.
