the top measures 42" wide 34" deep and its 24" tall.
We bought a storage unit and found this beauty inside of it. Pretty big and don't know a good way to value it. Any help is appreciated.

Looks like it's for a drum. A Tuba? Show inside. Create a second post with 4 more pictures. Looks like it was for the Vaudeville days.
Yeah - it was for a horn of some sort.

Yep! It's a tuba trunk!

Great square hard to find size "coffee table worthy" trunk. We don't give estimates on value on this site but I can understand problems evaluating as you will not find an exact one to compare with -- but a mid range value compared to similar aged trunks in similar condition but regular sizes. A cruise through local classifieds will help you get an idea.
Yeah definitely a sweet coffee table size. Inside looks different I'll post in a couple minutes of the inside
The one on ebay is asking 750. It has several watchers. They are NOT common!
Do you think this one is better or the eBay one?
Makes sense that these are rare, because there is usually only ONE tuba in a sit down orchestra.
Personally - I prefer this one with the stencils on it. It just screams Vaudeville to me. What is the inside like? Are the parts there like the ebay one?
insides different then the eBay one I just posted pictures.
Oops - the other one in the link is asking 795... THIS one is from a famous horn maker and is fully marked as such.
What one asks is not necessarily what one will get. e-Bay is often over-priced. RubyLane is three times as bad.
