This was with a large collection of art glass and bottles that's a unique color that looks like a milky Jade green. The top of the bottle is slightly deformed and there's flaws in the glass. After looking everywhere online without any success it has me stumped. It's 11" tall and 3 5/8" in diameter with a fairly clean pontil.Does anyone have any ideas as to who made this and what color would you call it.The other pieces of glass it was with dated from the 1920's to 1960's if this helps and there was several pieces made in this time frame by Murano,Blenko,Tozia,Kosta Boda,Empoli and Cambridge. Thanks
Thanks for the good idea Glassgaga.I think one of those black light bulbs will work and I'm going by spencer gifts to get one.I'll post the results.
Hello Glassgaga,I went to the mall to pick up a black light bulb and the guy working there said he these weren't very good for testing uranium glass and I needed to get a fluorescent black light bulb.I'm going to order a nice one online and use it under the Edgar Leetag black velvet painting I just took out of mothballs that I posted here yesterday.I think I've got a couple of pieces of uranium glass also that should light up if it is.Thanks for checking back in with me I appreciate it.Hope you have a very merry Christmas.
Hello Glassgaga, just put this bottle under the black light and it didn't do anything.I was hoping it would as that's such a unique look. Thanks for the good idea.I decided to check a couple of other pieces I had that are green and old and I found one that I didn't have any clue would glow until I checked it.Thanks again for the great idea.
Happy new year to you to.
