Frans Van is my father and he was a very prolific artist. His paintings were printed for reproductions, xmas cards, calendars, playing cards, etc.

Hello, Lhanivan, my family was friends with Frans, as we use to call him. Maybe you remember Ruth and Floyd Hancock. We use to go over to your house in L.A. My dad was devistated when Frans died. My sister, Ellen, has several of your dad's landscapes. My mom kept in touch until her death in 2005. I have several cards your family sent to us, and a beautiful little book entitled To Dad with poems and Fran's artwork. Do you know anything about it? Our family has such great memories of your dad. Sincerely, Laurel Hancock

Laurel, I think I recognize the names. My dad had friends everywhere!
My father illustrated several “holiday” or “special occasion” books for Hallmark and Ideals. I’ve noticed people break the books apart and sell each page separately. Crazy.
