I don't know where to start with this knife. it pretty much speaks for itself.

really nice ol herder knife. has the 4 brass pins clamping down on that stag. the sheath is simply in amazing condition for its 60 yr old self. the knife is as sharp as my huntin buddy. the edge brand in the 3rd pic. its very similar in that way.... both previous owners used them a lot... with good reason, these 2 are sharp as heck. ive no doubt itll be easy to maintain a good razors edge with either of them... that's always a good thing.

these herders are getting more and more desired as I type. now that I have 1, I see why .

thanks fort apache. you know, I really did enjoy nevadas posts. he had tons of friends on here. he had the time to view items in other categories that folks list.
I don't have much spare time right now.. barely able to find time to even list my own things. so, I try and save time by viewing , mostly , only the knives posted.
ive seen other items listed by some of you that I like a lot when ive had time, and enjoy those too.

im new collecting knives and read about them a lot when I can. ive been fortunate to have a lot of work . so, this is a good time to collect. believe me, im not boasting on my wealth at all. and im not trying to show off. this is a lot of fun for me that I haven't been able to enjoy in the past, and I do not take it for granted. it does make me look forward to pay days ... I work long hard hrs and am delighted to see the knives arrive as mine ... some times my wording is a bit over the top. but I reckon things that you love are worth being happy about... like our u.s. doesn't matter who is president. THIS is the land of the free !

if you read this, Nevada, I hope you do continue to post your knives. my comments of grass isn't always greener on the other side of the fence is true... that's the reason you moved here to start with... 1 man isn't gonna change that.
im not trying to fuss with you about that.

it just seems wrong.. the 1 thing your family wanted most came true, and now youre letting 1 man take it away. I truly hope you are not making a mistake.
I wont bring this up again . its not meant to judge or question you. its just my thinking on the subject.

I miss conversing with you and wish you all the very best.

Hey whyatt, nice knife! :^) I like these old hunting knives, never use them, but like the look and feel of them. I have a few in my pile of knives, which I hope will clean up some if I can ever get with olbodie and get one of his friends roll-up cases, but that's another story! LOL

I don't think they are even looking back. fleafinder. their minds were made up already. maybe , with a lil luck, he will get back on line after his move and post those beautiful knives some more.
