Good Morning CW Friends Collectors----12:30 AM)2016-11-24
If this was not with the help of 2 good friends here on CW, i will not be able to acquire this really beautiful Antique trunk, the reason being not so sure about the piece and condition.
I was contacted by a good friend picker in the region of Niagara fews week ago, he ask me if i could be interested on an Antique trunk in very good condition, claiming that this trunk was an American made, he described as Museum piece, in good condition, well i say, send me some pictures, i have to admit, i was more then happy about what i see on the pictures.
But because i was not so sure about the American made and the style of the trunk, i turn around and kindly ask for help, 2 good friend here on CW, Elliott(Aka Trunkman) and Scott(Aka jscott0363), they both very kind and provided me info on the trunk in addition and more importantly they willing to share there knowledge and personal view on this trunk, I am very thankful to them.
Here we are, or I would say here it is, a magnificent Antique trunk from the late 1800, early 1900, US made, embossed tin depicted florals motif.
Handle carry no#36 on it, both in very good condition(need to be nourish)
all wood slats intact and perfect, 5 in the front, 2 on each side of the trunk and finally 2 on the back, all metal reinforcement corner are in position.
What i will need to find is or (reproduce) is 4 little cross(on the top lid, each corner), the same cross that you see on the picture #1, on each side of the 5 slats.
The silver florals tin decoration need refreshing but still in very good shape.
The inside retains it's original floral paper in good condition, someone have try to remove(more tear) some original photo from the area, one of them depicted a group of individual in Bathing suite(one piece) on a fishing party(catfish)
In addition of the 2 trunk found in the trash and post earlier, I add a Third, I afraid a new collection is just born, the story of our life.
I have to add that those 3 trunk cost nothing, the first 2 found in the thrash and the last one, I was able to trade some of my inventory, 1 FolkArt painting+2 Murano glass Bowl and 1 Austin cast figure.
This Trunk stand, 35.50 inch long, 20 inch hight, 19 inch deep.
Many Thanks Everyone for Viewing, AND AGAIN THANKS TO TRUNKMAN AND JSCOTT0363 FOR THE HELP, WITHOUT YOU FRIENDS, I WILL NOT POSSESED THIS BEAUTY.

Scott, I am very happy that you help me with this trunk, i start to working on right now.
Really a stunning piece, the clasp for the lock was not broke as we think previously, one of the clasp missing the spring loaded under, make it look broken on the picture send to you, amazing that this piece was in such great condition for the aging.
Really appreciated the kindness answer, and able to use your knowledge on this matter, many thanks also for your comment above and the love.
