Here's some close-up shots, so you can see some of the detail, on a few of the pieces. I've had the little panther pin for a long time, it's not marked, but I almost think it might be gold, with a ruby eye, I've never had a jeweler check it out for me. I really like the first place shooting award, it's dated 1925, and is marked with an anchor, a lion, and an A. for English sterling.
On the front J.K. Anderson, and on the back top, O.T.C , over Fleetwood, over 1st Shooting, and a makers mark BBs on an upside down kettle(I guess).
The box link chain wrapped stone, really interested me,(I guess I like strange things) I think it's sterling. I brought it to a Gem and Mineral Show, but never got a definite answer on the stone. I think a nice piece of art jewelry though.
Oh another piece that I really like is the fly fishing tie clasp, in front of the silver dollar necklace.
Thanks for looking, and the love, kyratango. It rained again today so I had a little time extra to post! :^) No Flea Market!
Just look at all those goodies!!
Yeah Bonnie, it's fun "Showing and Telling" and Asking and Learning! :^) Thanks
Tell me about that bottle in the rear...with the castle on it. Looks very interesting!
Love to see groups like this, it gives me the impression I am on treasure hunting ;-))
Sorry Bonnie, I was just checking back and saw your question. It's not a bottle, the picture is a little dark, it's a pewter castle on a marble pendent, maybe from a renaissance faire, or the like. I found it at the Flea, a couple of years ago. It's about 1 1/2" tall, wrapped around a 1/2" marble. :^)
