To go with the other patchwork shirt I recently posted - and I am beginning to think these were uni-sex - this is a man's version with an interesting history. I obtained this from a guy in Connecticut who graduated from his Eastern US high school in June of 1967 and as he said, "being young and idealistic" what does he do? He heads right to San Francisco where upon arrival he is walking down the street and spots this shirt for sale with a street vendor. The obvious response when he sees this shirt of mod bright colors, he shags his boring East Coast duds and dons this gorgeous shirt... a hippie is born. Wish I knew what happened next.. because as well know, 1967 was the iconic "Summer of Love"! --- Now framed and on my wall - because these are a work of art....
What does the label say? Who made it?
