I am interesting to find more information about this sew machine.
I am interesting more history information about this machine.
What you have is a very nice Lotus decal Singer machine in what is called a parlor cabinet with back clamping feet . I see that it has a hand crank , but most machines in this type of cabinet were made to treadle . Does it have the foot peddle inside of the cabinet ? I also see in one of the pictures the place for the treadle belt to travel through . If the foot peddle is missing or if the previous owner could not find a belt that could be why they put a hand crank on it . I am sure it was made as a treadle machine . You already know the date it was manifactured and the number of the cabinet . It is in very nice shape . I am not sure what more of a history on this machine you are looking for .
That is a beautiful cabinet for your Singer,I love them!
I absolutely love the old singer machines been looking for a treadle in perfect shape.
Never seen a singer in a cabinet like this but it is beautiful!
It is a Singer 66 dating to the second half of 1912. The cabinet is gorgeous. It was possible to get machines in this type of cabinet as combination treadle/hand crank although I can't say if the handcrank on this one is original.
I just bought one exactly like this. The machine is in perfect working order and the cabinet is beautiful. I bought it from a consignment shop in France.I am wondering value. I paid 200 Euro's and wonder if this is a fair price or if I paid to much.
