recently brought this painting for $45 . figured the frame was worth that.
got this cheap because of damage on lake scene and small nail hole in sky area.
Back of frame has old label that says " Charles G Calder" Providence Rhode Island.
was going to try and fix myself, but wasn't sure? now that I look at this up close, wonder if I should have a pro fix it, or if either the painting or frame even hold any value?

Seems really old, from the mounting and stretchers on the frame.
The frame is very nice!
I'd show it to a specalist before doing anything to it ;-)
