The first image is that of a Starr-X Stegmaier's Beer opener. This item was produced before 1950, as that was the year that the brewery dropped "Stegmaier's", officially changing its name to Stegmaier Brewery.
Interestingly, this item still resides in the former home of one of Stegmaier's former brewmasters, a Mr. George Guckelberger.
The second image is of a metal on cardboard sign proclaiming
Straub Beer of St. Mary's, PA. This one dates from the late 40s to perhaps the mid 50s.
Very nice!! I especially love the old wall mounted beer bottle opener.
Thanks, j...both for the love, and for the kind comment on the opener. Yes, it is a beauty, and still in good shape...
Such nostalgic items truly do hold my interest.....
