And this is another rare two-posts-day, and this is another book on home decoration. In this case a German one from 1958.
The cover is really amazing: colours, shapes... so absolutely 50s! Although I'm just sharing pics of the illustrated pages, the whole book is a wonderful display of the amazing, simple and precise German design, so famous at the time. For a graphic designer such as me this book is in itself a real jewel as it allows you to see the great use of typography and space... and then it's got plenty of amazing photographies showing the absolutely brilliant furniture of the time.
I guess you've all guessed I absolutely love this book ;)
I've been impressed looking at your recent posts showing your mcm furniture, and decorating. Can you tell me, in the second photo, what is the white piece (with two metal legs) that comes up the side of the bed and rests on the top?
How many houses do you have, and in what countries?
