i picked this up at the fleamarket yesterday too. it has some damage in the glaze on the outside of it, but is still pretty beautiful. you can see the underglaze gilding around the rim - which i believe gives us some info. notice how the interior flowers are molded / 3 dimensional.

it reads Qi yu bao ding zhi zhen, probably meijji

Precious object of rare jade among treasured vessels, weird this ought to be kangxi period , which is not

      Kangxi revival? late 19th?
    6. apostata apostata, 3 years ago
i think actually we got the same technical discussion as the da ming chenghua nian zhi pieces versus dai min sei ka nen sei ,

the piece read Qi yu bao ding zhi zhen, which is chinese , thats realy wierd , aint it
it aint blue with , its not a panel moulded underglaze-peony -lotus chrysantium , or a kraak style lappet or long eliza

so we can rule out all the kangxi
they swapped the chinese mark ( which is tremendous seldom , if it is the real stuff) into an japanese equivalent ( see chengua discussion)

this is an imari, but which one, early edo meijji , junk etc
the weird thing no kiln spurs , no dark blue garlands underneeth . pointillism ok , but the green is off

this ought to be an late edo or early mejji design , or a quite well vintage fake

it can,t be Kangxi revival, because it aint kangxi in any form , it aint blue white, or an famille verte combination

watch it all over again this must be vintage , because its lacking too much charactaristics
