My Dad sent this home from WWII. He was in Japan and China both immediately after WWII. It once had color as evidenced by some faded red in the pictures. The woman has a bird in her hair on the front. Someone said they thought it was Japanese because of the bird. We do not really know anything. It is hand carved aby the marks on the bottom of it's base. (Not shown) She is tranquil and I have seen a few similiar on the net in the Chinese areas. Any clues or Guidance as to how to figure out more about this ole gal? Dad sent it to my Mom during his overseas time to 'keep her company' so it is valued regardless. Thanks, Kansas City Guy
