The glass is as milk painted with a rose fading into its last days. Topping it, a thousand eyes of the mushroom-like shade. I added the white chimney. The lamp's base, an ornate brass work of scrollwork with similarity to sea shells.

    Made by Plume & Atwood.

    Thrift store find. Lamp, $3.

The white shade they call those bumps, hobnail.. and Fenton are known for making them. . Most the time lamps would be made and then they buy the glass from somewhere else. . The base looks like L and L... but must be a similar style. . Since you already know who made it. . Very great find! I like it! Specialty for that price it's a steal!

There's an old c. 1907 (if I recall) Rayo lamp with maybe a cracked Vaseline green shade I've been thinking about for $25. It's the crack in the shade that scares me, as I'd like to use these things. LOL.

Oh man id love a Vaseline lamp! Even with a cracked shade. .just be more careful with it! I buy them to use them to. .might as well. . By the time my kids inherit them they prolly won't want them anyways lol...

      Wow, I love this lamp!
I just left a pair almost identical to this in a thrift store, I felt like 20.00 usd. was too much. And the off/on knobs were black plastic. I'm now second guessing myself about leaving them. But they also didn't have a painting, they were all hobnail milk glass. Upside....I did buy a hand carved and painted wood pirate standing almost 5'
      Nice lamp you have there!

Lamplover, I'm still thinking about it. It's a nice lamp. But I want to use it.

Karenoke, it sounds like yours were electric, which is typically 1950s-1970s. This one is original, circa 1890s.

I again looked at it today. Newest patent is 1905. The vaseline shade is so badly damaged, though, that I won't pick it up at that price. The crack goes from the top, curves around as it goes down, and nearly reaches the bottom. The top pieces move when pressed, which means it goes totally through.
It's a nice lamp, but it can't be used. Side of actual lamp also has a little dent.
