    Have 2 ocean city mfg co st lucie rod and reels, a ocean city mfg co bay city rod and reel, a peen peerless no. 9 rod and reel and another one in which i cannot read , and i think a south bend, what it is theres a total of 5 rod and reel sets and a couple rods only. they look like old wood, we have no idea what they are our google search doesn't come up with much but we got them from my mother in law for doing yard work, they where going to throw them away or let the grandkids play with them. can anyone help? We like them because you don't see them everyday and i love to fish so they where a must just to have.

      A lot of Penn reels are collectible. I'm not that informed but maybe you could check out Ebay for more info? I'll ask my son. He is an addicted fisherman!

      after looking at it for a while i am not 100 percent sure about this but i am almost positive that you have a penn 160. it was originally called the "beachmaster" anywhere from 1920-1940. then in the 1950's Penn decided to put reels in named series with similar reels, and the beachmaster series was made featuring the 155, 160 and 165 models.

      My husband went to a rummage sale this lady in her eighties sold him her husbands old fishing sled inside he found this ice fishing reel . I seen it in the collectable section It was a periscoping one with a black & white handle plastic handle on the end of a cork pole & black plasticrod part. It is called a Still Fish Reel made in Toledo Ohio. Was wondering if this was a collectable fish pole?
