Interesting! If I got the chinese signs right they should read something like "The fiftieth anniversary of the founding of the general assembly". And at the bottom something with May 11th. Sounds like UN but I have never seen the symbol before so maybe something completely different... Does it really look old? Why not recent years? Could you please take a photo of the back of the medal as well?
Could be Japanese as well, of course. Same signs...
