I know nothing about this item, other than what I can google. The only mark I can find is the name Simplicio, no silver marks...925, lion or otherwise. It's by no means in pristine condition, appears to have cracks, chips and even a piece of stone glued back in place.
Found it in a thrift store yesterday and it only caught my attention because of things I've read here on CW, you peeps know stuff! And I enjoy learning from you all. Thank you in advance for any and all info, comments and loving or not so much loving...lol
Merry Christmas everyone!
Yes, it's silver. Navajo. Dan Simplicio.
Very nice! Merry Christmas to you and your family Karenoke!!!
Great looking Navajo piece
OMGosh! Thanks Efesgirl! It sure looks like silver, I just assumed it would have a mark of some sort. Thanks for sharing your knowledge!
Thank you, jscott0363, Caperkid and CindiB!
You're welcome! Google Dan Simplicio and you will find more by him.
Home run - congratulations!
Thank you Efesgirl, I have googled him and find that he has many family members who also make/made this kind of jewelry making it hard to tell exactly what he himself made. But I'm learning...thank you! I noticed some pottery done by this family also...I'll be looking.
Thank you beyemvey!
Btw, I found this exact watch band listed on eBay for 300.00 usd. But it was new and had been kept in a safe. I wish mine looked as good. I'm normally a 18k and better gold fan, but in the last couple years silver is growing on me. And anything vintage seems to be to my liking....lol. Much to my husbands dismay...lol.
Merry Christmas!
Thanks valentino97!
What a fantastic watch! I really love this - the shells framing the face and the turquoise band. Wonderful.
Thank you so much racer4four!
