I bought these priceless skates with a collection that I found for sale on Craigslist in Hawaii. They are dated 1866 which makes them older than me so I figure they are pretty rare. A little clean up and sharpening of the edges might be needed for use? They came with about 10 other sets from the estate of a collector who died. I was the lucky buyer to find them. I actually bought the whole collection for two pairs that I wanted to display and when I got home I gave the best set to our daughter who also loves them.:):)

Pretty cool skates. I think likely European but not sure.
Bobby725,
Now u know your skates are older than u thought! B&B Skate Co sold about 600, 000 pairs per year before 1919 when they sold out to Winchester arms!!! Skating was a popular sport/pass time in the olden days. Not sure what they're worth but doubt it's more than $100-$200 max?
Wow, these are truly fantastic!!! Merry Christmas to you and your family Rattletrap!!

The leather will fall apart if used again. It will stretch and tear. Leave as is.
SpiritBear,
Zero risk of my ever getting on any of these antique skates or any modern skates as I am old and break easily. Old people don't heal well so we shouldn't try stupid things where we might get hurt. U are right about the old leather.
