Photo Subject One-MR. EDGAR WILLIAMS ( His name is printed under his feet(--IS-A fellow still hovering in the flush of youth (maybe) seems to have rearranged the attractive furniture and "stuff" on the floor to his own liking to project himself as the dominant attraction. (Civil War Era-to mid 1870s ? CDV) NOTE I regret it is only fair shape. but I dare not "clean it"

Photo of subject Two SAMUEL G. RICHARDS, is is probably about 10 or 11 and quite a nice looking young fellow. (in a kind of tacky studio setting). The child himself looked bit "rumpled"--but who knows how long he traveled from the farm to Port Byron, Illinois to get this special photo taken? He has provided a great back-stamp on this Civil War era-CDV photo(thin card stock) with two cherubs involved in the taking of the photo, one is behind the antique camera and about to take a photo. Bottom Says: "Our baby boy. son of Sarah Richard Bryant..Grandson of Sally McConkey and Samuel Grant. A lot of hand work went into making his junior-sized suit, and getting his a suitable haircut to memorialize the day. Big Day Photo Day!
