    Hello

I have posted some pictures of a basket I purchased this summer in hopes that one of you experts out there can provide me with some information.
It has several different weave styles unlike any I have seen and appears to be Native American.
Any information on age and type would be appreciated
    The dimensions are as follows:
    16" across by 5" tall

    Thank you

The possibility of it being Native American can be eliminated, due to the fact that it is made from split bamboo, a material not used by any Native American tribe.

It is Asian, a traditional style of basket from the Philippines, called a "bilao" basket. They were originally used for winnowing, but are primarily sold today for serving food, display, or other decorative uses.
