    An old vase from 1880 - 1900. I think it should have been a
    lampshade for an old oil lamp. But some how it was not finish or maybe
    it was made finish as this. :-)

      Im site it was made as a vase! Around the top edge they call that thumb print. . I have a bowl worth a top like that. Just stunning! Beautiful!

      Actually good possibility its a fenton glass piece. They have allot of thumb print things in their collection. Id say an early piece. Because the later ones they lable. So maybe 1905 if it is Fenton. I have not seen one like this one. I'm sure someone will come along that knows their stuff. . Also trying looking up thumbprint glass vase..
