This is an old unopened bottle of Guinness Extra Stout that I got from a friend in the early 1980's. I think it was an airline bottle of beer from the late 1960's. She gave it to me because she knew that Guinness was my favorite beer! :^)
It's a 6oz. bottle brewed and bottled by Arthur Guinness Son & Co., Inc. at Long Island City, N.Y.
The bottle is 7 1/4" tall and 2" dia.

Just a post for SpiritBear! :^)

      it has a 4 52 on the bottom and a 10 over GX-48
and a L over 10 then 420716 over Reg. U.K. Reg. U.S. Pat. Off. on the label.
      if that means anything

1952 (dates the bottle mold, not necessarily the bottle). Classic Owen-Illinois mark with easiest date-code (2-digit at right of <(I)> ) gives best specific date. They soon began transitioning over to their (I) mark which signifies later '50s onward. Yours, as stated, is circa 1952, though.
4 is which plant it was made in. Rest is info such as mold code, for quality control, and such.

You can buy Elmer's Acid-Free Rubber Cement and use a little with a needle to fix the label so it doesn't fall apart more. All materials that come in contact with old paper must be acid-free.

Thank you SpiritBear, she got the bottle from her father's home after he passed away in 1981, it was in a cupboard, but she didn't know how long it had been there, just thought it may have been from the 1960's, so it could be older, or newer.

Thank you all vetraio, fortapache, bb2, Judy and Bonnie, for the love, wish we could all sit down and have few Guinness's Extra Stout together! :^)
It's funny about this bottle, since I've had it, it's been in the back of the cupboard, and that's 30yrs. just in this home! Thanks to SpiritBear, it got to see the light for a while, but it's back in there again, until another day! Maybe someone will find it when I die! :^)

I'm right beside ya Rick! :^) It's hard to find a place that serves on tap anymore, our favorite pub went to Guinness in cans! Just don't get it! :^( It's almost gotten to be, the only place we can still get it is at the Renaissance Faire!
Thanks for the comment, and the love! :^)
