Wow I have never seen so many beautiful lamps in one place before!
I bought this lamp at an estate sale recently for $25 USD. The globe appears to be, an iridescent Pearl (for lack of a better description) with gold trim and filigree.
The measurements of the globe itself is approx. 14" long x 11" at the fattest part.
The whole lamp without the pull string is a little over 2' tall.
I was attracted by the chain design on the globe, she's just full of character!
Give me a shout if you know anything about this lovely piece, I cannot seem to find any history on her or another similar
    Thank you!! ????

She's a beauty! Is this how you have it hanging now? I believe the chain should not hang lower than the lamp itself and carefully work the wire cord more tightly through the chain. The reason for the chain is so that you don't notice the cord. And a second look, the top of the lamp is supposed to be hanging at least a foot down. In other words, put the chain on the hook instead of the top of the lamp and I hope you have a butterfly wing in the ceiling that makes it strong enough to hold the whole thing. Ask them at the hardware store and look there to see how they have others hanging in there. You will see the difference. You got that at a steal and you would not want it to fall because of a simple error. We all make them but don't make it with this!!!

Many apologies but you see where you have the chain at the ceiling and the wall? That really should be to the left at the corner where the walls meet. But to each his or her own. You will see how much more beautiful it will be when it's hung properly!

And welcome to CW...Lots to learn here, stick around!

Any luck on determining the maker of this lamp. We purchased one at an antique store, but can't find any identifying marks.

Beautiful lamp! What a lucky find! I would say this is a true treasure with all that detail!

Wow thank you for all of this great advice... "first-time hanging lamp owner"! Lol I now have the cord out of sight and she now proudly hangs in the correct manner! ?
No Dale, I have not found any information as to her origin but I would love to see photos of your lamp find!
Okay so I'm still taking suggestions.
Thanks again everyone, for taking the time to post! xo
