A stylish little vase from Kurata, this one measures only 17cm but is typically quite weighty.
The glass changes from a dark amber at the base, lightens to amber, before mixing with a lovely moss green near the rim.
Clear cased and with a nicely ground base.
A nifty little feature of this one is a pronounced bubble of air in the base that is actually in the brown glass. Deliberate? I don't know.
Looking at the style and make of this I think it would be around 1970s.
Oh my Gosh - Stunning shape, style and Color. The color reminds me of Glowing embers in an open fire .... as the colors melt into one another

Thanks as usual Rick.
My loard...this vase gets my heart pumping faster...wow :)
Holy cow Karen!!! This is a love, love and I want it badly!!! I just converted to see how tall it is, perfect. I love the small ones, but with the looks of it, it looks like it's really tall, which for this piece would work just as well. It also looks very heavy. I'm so glad I didn't miss this one this time around! Gorgeous!
Oh and I would think for sure the bubble is intentional.
Thanks Isol. It remains one of my favourites!
See above Sue!It's a class bit of Japanese glass, glad you came back and found it.
