    Hi everyone!
These clay plates were on a two for .99 cent table. And I found them pretty, so I grabbed them. I suspect they are from a much larger set. The larger plate has a 10 1/2" diameter and the smaller plate is 6 3/4" diameter. Notice how much sharper the image is on the large plate, and the large plate also has what I think is some sort of maker mark. But you can see someone considered it a flaw and tried to sand it off.
If anyone know about these plates or the mark....please share your knowledge? Are they even vintage? Also the large plate is rather heavy at 2.2 lbs.
Thank you for any ideas, knowledge or clues!

They are really pretty, but I think that's just some excess ceramic on the bottom of the plate and not any kind of mark.
