Crappy flea markets today, so I did something I never do: I bought a ring from a dealer who usually wants way too much for her stuff. This ring appealed to me and was reasonable, considering it's more than 15 grams of sterling: 17,50 Euro ($18.63). The marks were very difficult to photograph, so what you see here are the best results from about eight photos. I haven't the foggiest idea what the maker mark on the right is supposed to represent, but at least it's not an urn/amphora, LOL!
I will continue to try to research it further, but if anyone has any inkling of what that might be then I'd love to hear from you.
Thanks to everyone!
Bonnie
Not the urn... LOL!
A roaring lion???
Expensive... BUT NICE :-)
LOL Pascale! I almost see letters in that tangled mess - something that looks like a "Y"and a "G".
Yes, more expensive that I would have liked. There was another ring I was considering until she told me the price: 30 Euro. Haha that wasn't going to happen!
I think it's a quaking duck! :^D Maybe a bunny licking it's hind foot! &:^)
Hahahaha bill! I've been squinting at it through my loop but still have no clue what that mark is supposed to be. Grrrr....
